Psalm 18:2
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
At our store, we started asking that our customers take at least two Jesus rocks, one for themselves and one for someone else. There is no big story on why we began giving Jesus rocks to each of our customers, other than the fact that we feel that as long as you build
your life on the rock (Jesus Christ) then all else will fall into place.
The rocks are nice to have in your pocket, your purse or
laying around... just as a reminder. But even when the engraving is worn off, just as the rock is still there, we ask that you always remember that He is your rock, and He is always there for you.
Even if someone loses the Jesus rock, or throws it away, we believe that this is still part of God’s plan. When someone finds this rock and it has the name of Jesus on it, then the person that God wanted to have this rock, now has it, so it is still part of God’s plan.
Jesus rocks are a great witnessing tool. My husband often leaves the house with at least two extra Jesus rocks, praying that God will send him someone to witness to before he returns home and most of the time before the day is done he comes home with empty pockets.
Our ultimate goal would be for someone, who we don't know, to pass one back to us. Awesome! |
